Currently hooked on...

...watching MTV's The City!!!

I love this show! It's a spin-off of The Hills, which i also love. These girls are just so polished! Amazinggg...they always look so good; great sense of style and fashion and hair to die for...gorgeous! I wish i could look like that but i honestly can't be arsed to put in that much effort all the time. I love the plot too...i'm a sucker for tele-dramas ;) If you live and breathe fashion and love d.r.a.ma. then this is for you! Click here to find out more and to watch The City.

Enjoy!

Dating and Relationships: 101

I thought i'd write this post for all the girls out there who have been in relationships and come out of it wondering, "what the hell happened?/where did i go wrong?/why doesn't he like me?" etc. I'm sure it's happened to all of us at least once!

In conjunction with the release of the new movie, 'He's just not that into you', i thought i'd share with you my Top 5 tips in understanding the opposite sex: the man. Now i don't claim to be a guru on love and relationships (hell no, god knows i've had some badd experiences!) but these are things i've learnt, some of my own experiences, and some from my friends and family: my trusted sources. So read on and have a laugh and see if it applies to you...

Tip #1: Communication

Communication is an important key in understanding the opposite sex. It helps to be open and honest with each other about your feelings and emotions. It may be hard for some males to open up and talk with you, but a little bit of encouragement never hurt anyone! Having said this, you don’t need to talk about your feelings everyday. It will drive the poor boy mad!

Tip #2: Compromise

Being flexible and able to compromise is another important key in understanding the opposite sex. For example, if he asks you to go and watch the footy game with him, be a good sport and go along (it's a good thing that he wants to involve you in his life). It makes him happy, and therefore him being happy and in a good mood will make you happy, wont it! In return, you can ask him to accompany you to watch romantic movies or chick flicks like He's Just Not That Into You ;)

Tip #3: Sharing is caring

Relationships should be equal so don't make him do all the work and put the effort in (but don't let him neglect it either!). It goes both ways so you can do something for him to make him feel special, such as plan a day where you do all of his favourite activities. Also, you can plan what to do for Valentines day and your anniversary instead of relying on him to do it. This way you'll be doing something different everytime and show that you both put in the effort. Oh and he'll appreciate you and realise what a great girl he's got and how lucky he is!

Tip #4: Give him his space

Boys will be boys and they want to be boys with their boys. My advice: just let him go, there is no point arguing about it ("but you promised me...") cause he’ll most likely still go out after and you’ll end up in a crap mood AND you lost the fight. Besides, do you really want to spend your time with a bunch of drunk stupid idiots??

Tip #5: Don't change him
This is where alot of the arguments happen and the cracks start to show. Asking him nicely if he can 'tweak' his bad habits is acceptable but not when it comes to changing his personality to suit you ("why can't you be like this/why can't you do that for me….") This will drive him crazy and question why he wants to be in a relation ship with you, which will lead to cracks in the foundation and ultimately him likely to end the relationship. You can't blame him though, wouldn’t you feel the same if the roles were reversed and he kept nagging at you? Accept him for who he is and embrace him with his eccentricities. If you still dislike the guy, then it's time to either look at yourself (it might be you) or to just be friends. Don't mould him.

If you haven't already watched it, check out He's Just Not That Into You for more tips on dating and relationships, and most importantly on the opposite sex!

*Updates*

Hi guys! Hope everyone's well :)

I've been so busy lately, planning for and organising this and that: hectic. I just paid for my plane tickets to Queensland, i'm going there to check out Tweed Heads cause i'll be moving up there for uni next semester *wooottt!* I can't wait. Believe it or not, i actually miss studying (i say this now but will probably regret it once the assignments pile up!) But all in all, i'm happy with my decision to continue with my studies again cause i feel that it will bring me 1 step closer to my dream and reach my goals. So why not hey? *optimistic*

Oh i had a great time at Wollongong btw! It was relaxing and so nice to get away for awhile and spend quality time with him. Not that we don't spend time with eachother, we do but it's just nice to experience new things with your loved ones, isn't it? I really like the place and would definitely consider moving there. It's a compact, peaceful coastal town with the benefits of a big city - sydney's only about 45mins away. We had a nice seafood dinner at The Harbourfront Cafe on friday night and had some of THE best food for saturday's lunch at this great little kiosk by the beachfront, Levendi's. You have to try it, it's deelicious! I especially recommend the burgers (i ordered the beef burger and he had the special Levendi's chicken burger) - huge portions with yummy fresh ingredients. And you can't skip the homemade gelato in a variety of flavours -nice smooth texture, with pieces of fruit or chocolate/cookies bits (depending on what you have) probably the best i've had without going to Italy! mmm...

On saturday we had his work colleague's engagement party to go at the Knightsbridge Penthouse. It's small and cosy, good for afterwork drinks or a funky chilled out place to hang out and catch up with friends if you don't feel like going to a crowded nightclub and dealing with the noise and yelling in eachother's ears! I especially like the decor with its fairy lights which make the place quite intimate and also the delish cocktails but i can't say the same for the music. So off-putting. I'd say the crowd's a yuppie, diverse artsy type with some pretencious people in the mix. Having said that, i'm not sure if it's my kinda place and if i'll go there again but all in all it was nice to try something different other than my usual r&b nightclub faves.

Well that's it for now but will update again soon.
Take care xx

Someone's personal pain is someone else's gossip gain.

This post is dedicated to anyone/everyone who's ever taken someone else's personal pain and heartache, manipulated it and turned it into their own piece of *juicy* gossip. For your sick entertainment. Just remember that people who bitch with you, can also bitch ABOUT you. You're heartless, disloyal and untrustworthy. F*ck you.

Getaway!

Hi again! ***God i'm getting addicted to blogging already ^^
Guess what guess what i'm going to the coast tomorrow! Well, Wollongong actually (pronounced wool-on-gong).
I'm pretty xxcited cause i haven't been there in aaages, last time was with my mum and dad when i was little *happy memories. Also, i miss the going to the coast since living here so it will be nice to escape for a relaxing getaway. We're going cause it's his birthday tmrw and what a better way to celebrate...sea, ocean breeze, beautiful sunset, delicious seafood, yummy cocktails mmm :) But i don't need a reason to go really, i'm so used to going to the beach everyday 24/7 when i was living in Sunshine (Sunny) Coast so of course i'm dying to go! Here's a website for more info on Wollongong (aka the 'gong') http://www.tourismwollongong.com/
I'll post some pics from the weekend so you can see how dark (read: black) i become! lol.
Have a good weekend xx
